Cardiff? Who are ya!

Not the worst day by any stretch of the imagination personally yesterday, I placed the Free Paddy Power bet on Leeds to beat Tranmere and the Whites duly obliged at 10/11 all useful for the Cheltenham kitty, even more so being as Paddy Power have their Dunguib wins get your stake back offer. Even more impressive than Leeds win though has to be the Mighty Town’s 5th home win of the season. The Welsh dragons of Cardiff were no match for Royston Keane and his band of merry men – interesting to note one tipping expert on Facebook had Cardiff down as one of their bets of the night, the other was Swansea at Watford so fair play on that one, we haven’t lost at home since September so although I didn’t think we’d win, I didn’t think we’d lose either. Up to the dizzy heights of 17th now haha. I did have a spell of backing the opposition when Ipswich played but since we draw over 50% of the games this was proving to be unprofitable and a less than satisfying results, bring back the 2 points for a win I say. Leeds result may shut up my fellow supporting Norwich mates – one can dream eh!

Anyways enough of that rambling and the racing yesterday, I managed to get 1.81 on Betfair for Dunaskin which was quite healthy considering its starting price of 4/11 but the horse did at least win, apologies though to Ralph for selecting this horse shame on me, the other winner yesterday was Veloso which went off at 4/1, I hope you were on Ralph. Fuzzy Cat was a non runner and the other four all finished out of the frame, So in the end a disappointing loss of 0.4PTs. I will confess to having a had a few other bets 3 of which did win but due to computer issues I didn’t get them up in time to record. Trans Sonic made a complete mockery of my selection in the 4.40 definitely one to watch again this one.

Moving on to next week, I’ve completed a look at trends for the Jewson on Thursday. You can see this on the Formbet site, there’s plenty of worthwhile opinions regarding Cheltenham on the site and around 50% of the races so far have been analysed on a trends basis. I’ve had a few quid on the best trends selection for the Jewson at 25s on Betfair but obviously won’t be revealing this as Formbet isn’t a free service albeit it’s a cheap one and hugely worthwhile subscribing to.

Will have a look at tomorrow’s racing later.
